Dr. Jennifer Huynh treats adult patients with diabetes and various endocrine problems including thyroid, adrenal and pituitary disease. She also has a special interest in diabetes in pregnancy and transgender medicine.

What I do for Patients

  • Diabetes Treatment

    Assess and manage all types of diabetes, from newly diagnosed to longstanding disease.

    Will optimize your diabetes management to reflect advances in medications and/or technology.

  • Endocrine Disease

    Determine if there is an underlying endocrine problem based on symptoms and investigations, and initiate and monitor treatment if applicable.

  • Transgender Medicine

    Guide you through your medical transition journey. This includes initiating or continuing gender affirming hormone therapy and surgery assessments.

FAQs

  • Dr. Huynh’s primary office is located at 2525 Old Bronte Rd - Suite 580, Oakville, Ontario. Occasionally, your assessment may take place at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, either in the Diabetes Centre (Monday Mornings) or Outpatient Clinic (Monday Afternoons).

  • Please ensure you have a current list of medications with you. If you are followed for diabetes, please have your blood sugar records - either an updated log book or upload your readings from your Freestyle or Dexcom device.

  • Please get blood work done one week before your appointment. In special situations, blood work or urine testing may be required 3-4 weeks in advance.

  • If you require a renewal of your medication(s), please speak to Dr. Huynh at the time of your appointment. Aside from special situations, Dr. Huynh does not refill phone or fax prescriptions from your pharmacy. In this case, please speak to your family doctor.

  • Dr. Huynh does not see patients for osteoporosis, bone disorders or for post menopausal hormone replacement therapy. She does not prescribe or manage patients on dessicated thyroid hormone or Cytomel.
